SELF LEVELING SCREED
Generally applied between 0mm and 50mm thickness.
Self-levelling is commonly used for levelling of pour substrates to achieve finer tolerance for the installation of tiles, carpets etc. It can also be used as a flooring finish in itself due to its strength and resistance to abrasion. It can be applied over concrete or screed. The installation thickness may vary however, there are solutions that range from 0mm up to 40mm in one application. Most self-levelling screeds are fast drying and depending on the product, the surface can be walked on between 3-24hours after it has been applied.
Self-levelling properties:
- Fast-setting – able to walk on it after 2-3 hours due to fast drying properties.
- Rapid hardening – can withstand light vehicular traffic after 48 hours
- Easy to mix and apply and it is pumpable. This results in large areas being completed in much faster times than traditional sand and cement screed.
- Light-weight –more suitable for large commercial projects.
